Message from our Chairman and President, Vance BrownAt Cherwell Software, we’re passionate about our own noble cause – listening to our customers and caring for their needs. We are building a company that we believe will “survive the test of time” by providing quality products with extraordinary customer care. We want to treat our customers according to the “Golden Rule.” We take seriously our tag-line: Innovative Technology built on Yesterday’s Values. That sounds simple, but few companies do it. Our owners at Cherwell have been successful in other ventures in this industry. I was the former CEO of GoldMine Software® (currently FrontRange Solutions®). Ron Muns, my good friend and Cherwell’s Director of Innovation, was the founder of both FrontRange Solutions (formerly Bendata) and the Help Desk Institute (HDI). Arlen Feldman, our CTO, was the Chief Architect of FrontRange Solutions for both the HEAT® and ITSM™ product lines. Read more about Our Team. We are not looking to just build a company and sell it. In this season of life, we desire to build great technology – in an industry we enjoy – while building lasting relationships with both our employees and customers. Accordingly, our private company has no outside debt and no venture capital funding! We want to do this for a living…for the long haul. We have no “exit strategy.” Ask our competition about their “exit strategies”–many are owned by venture capitalists. We are not an offspring of a merger or acquisition like so many of our competitors. We do not confuse the marketplace by offering multiple products for essentially the same market space – calling one “Help Desk” and the other “IT Service Management.” We are focused and desire to have fun, create some innovative technology, and build great relationships along the way.
