Anytime, Anywhere Accessibility
For times when Cherwell Service Management is not installed on a client (i.e., “0-client”), the application utilizes “browser-based” web tools (Cherwell’s Self-Service and Technician Views) that allow the end-customer or a remote-technician to access the system from any computer that has an internet connection. This works well for cross-platform deployments on non-Windows machines, such as Mac or Linux. For Windows’ users who access the application from two to eight hours a day, the preferred approach is to implement a rich-client experience—regular users should not be forced to work on a slower and often-times frustrating “browser” application. In short, Cherwell’s rich web application has all the benefits of a browser-based application, yet the user experience is much better. But the Bottom Line Is—YOU CHOOSE—Either Rich Client, or Browser-Based! |
