How is this level of customization possible?

Cherwell Service Management was built from the ground up with customization in mind—without needing a programmer. It is essentially a Codeless Business Application Technology. By "codeless," we mean that all customizations can be performed by your IT staff without access to the source code. Cherwell's CBAT platform, which we call Cherwell Development Platform, is a meta-data, definitionally-driven environment.

Will Cherwell support your custom applications?

Yes. Because Cherwell was designed with customization in mind, we support all your applications built on the Cherwell Development Platform. Other vendors will say that their platforms can be significantly customized, but then they are unable to support them. Additionally, because our product is definitionally driven, when you install Cherwell's software updates all of your customizations remain in tact.
